Smile Aviation Apps

Hey, I'm new to this forum, and I landed here trying to find an aviation application for my BB. There is a program that will run on Palm products and anything that runs Window's Mobile, but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about an application for pilot's to do flight planning on a BB? Any help would be appreciated.

Flight Deck can be found at:'s Flt Deck Airport/FBO Guide.

Another aviation weather provider is WXSYS: WXSYS On Demand - Aviation for BlackBerry

John Clark - one of the forum moderators is a commercial pilot and may be able to chime in on some others...

The Flight Deck program as noted above. It is a pretty good program. It is like having a Airport facility Directory on your BB. And you can use it in the air; no internet access is required once you get it installed.

I use for weather a lot. It has 5 day forecast, Moving Radar, and the nearest airport weather when you select cities. Also, one of the best features is that you can generally put any 3-4 letter airport ID and get the local weather, metar etc.

Also, is great for very easy access to Metar, TAF, and Notams. for the same, but you can file flight plans. (gotta have a account, which is free)

Those are the programs/sites that I use the most.
