Default 8310 Not turning on - 06-16-2008, 02:49 PM

I just tried to install the new 4.5 OS from this here website and when it got almost finished it gave me an error.

My DM would not read my BB, but my phone would turn on but the OS was black and white and not fully installed.

It was missing pieces.

Then I tried to uninstall it and re-install it and it said error again.

Now it would turn on and the light just blinks red.

Any help?

Welcome to BBF

You should have posted with your first problem. Black and white icons just means that the theme you were using previously is no longer installed. It's usually simple to change themes and all would have been fine.

Now, with just a blinking light, you're going to need to follow the instructions here:

How do I wipe the BlackBerry using Jl Cmder? - BlackBerryFAQ

or more than likely this will be required:

What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ

I get this:

A fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software. Please try again.

Device communications error encountered. [A:0x00000025]
