Default Headphone not working...

Please Login to Remove!

I tried to play a sample music clip in the 8320, and it will only play through the BB's speakers (conf call speakers or the normal ones). It wont even play through the supplied headset that came with the BB.
I can make calls and use the supplied headset, but I cant use other headphones (which do not have microphones).

Try hitting the menu button and look at the options available there.

If the menu isn't offering an alternative, I'm not sure what to tell you - I'm not personally familiar with the 8320 - but I know the options for playback are at least in part coupled to the O/S version - so check and see if you have an upgrade coming - if you don't, don't fret - we're all getting one Very Soon Now.

I'm wondering if the phone is broken or not.
Would the physical B&M stores be wiiling to help ?

If you got your phone from a brick & mortar store or kiosk, that should be your first stop; if it works differently with a phone in the display case, you got a bad handset

Yup, just tried it, earbuds dont work either.

One more question. Suppose you have earbuds with no microphone. You plug them in and make a call. What happens ? Do you get sound from the earbuds or not ? And voice input is through the BB's microphone ?

I looked around at the user manual. They keep referriing to the handset button. Which button is that ? The red colored one ?

A battery pull solved the issue !!!!!

Now, music plays through earphones.

BTW, I still cannot get sound through earbuds when making a call, I can only get get sound if its headset(with microphone). Is this normal ?
