Does anyone use this?

I am having a hell of a time getting into any of my phone's folders especially the Ringtone one.

Welcome. Could you be a little more specific? You mean the default ringtone folder? Or the one in your media card (if you have one)? If it's the default one, I don't believe it's accessible through DM's Media Manager (Roxio).

I am looking for the folder where I would put an mp3 to be used as a ringtone. Not sure if that clears that up. I have a "ringtone" folder on my media card inside of a "Blackberry" folder but those folders seem like fluff to me.

Edit: When I go to ringtones inside the media player program on the Curve, there is a list of preinstalled tones. Where is that folder?

The preinstalled ones are in device memory. You should store any that you load in the media card -- in the ringtone folder. It's pretty straightforward.

if you dont need to convert the file in any way, just drag and drop into the folder using windows by enabling "mass storage" and accessing it like an external drive.

if you do need to convert the file in any way, forget desktop manager and the roxio media manager and use a halfway decent program like Wavepad, then drag and drop your creation by way of mass storage.
