Is there anyway to prevent the Curve from going to sleep? The screen shuts off and I have to press a button to turn it back on

It helps to save battery life. Leaving it on all the time will cut down on battery life. Goto options then screen/keyboard to set the back light time.

I don't think that there is. It's also not sleeping (technically); it's just turning off the screen to save battery.

There might be a program to do this, though. I would check the Aftermarket Software section.

I think Marathonman is saying that there's a way to adjust the timeout. There is no way to prevent the backlight from turning off entirely.

Why do you constantly need the backlight on? It will kill your battery.

BBLight will allow you to keep the backlight on whenever the device is out of its holster should you choose that setting.
