Nope. BIS will adjust the polling interval automatically in certain situations. You can't set the polling interval. If you want it to be every 5 minutes you're SOL. There's a 3rd party email client that might allow you to set the polling interval. Logicmail, I think? I don't really know anything about it though.

The plan doesn't really matter. You will need a third party app for Office file support unless you decide to go with BES.

Hmm, don't know on this one but IIRC tethering isn't free with VZW. I can't imagine them giving you something like that...
