Hello, I am new to this forum and well, I need some help/advice. I was at work, left my phone in my bag and after leaving I checked my phone but it hasn't been working. The battery was completely full and I have not had any problems before.

The screen flashes with an hourglass and a white background. The hourglass quickly fades and the screen goes completely blank, followed by about a 4 second red LED flash. I've taken the battery out and tried turning it on with only the charger and computer port (battery removed) but all i get is "No Battery" sign on the screen. My computer will not read the phone since it just comes on, then dies. I have taken out the sim card, but the problem remains when the battery is in the phone. Oddly, the battery was working completely fine.

Your directions have worked, up until a password...and I am positive that I do not have a password!! What can I do? It has asked me for a password that I do not have!

Now I have 4 flashes of the red LED (2 flashes, quick pause, then 2 more) and the phone does not respond.

I've seen this behavior before on a few BB's, the fix for me has always been to do a fresh install of the BB software (not the desktop software). I've also noticed that in this state, it won't show in the BB Desktop, but when plugged in XP made the sound that something was plugged in.

Thanks for the help Mr. Clark and NessenJ. I was unable to do anything since the phone was pretty jacked up, but ATT sent me a new 8310 since it was under warranty. This phone seems slower for some reason... Anyways, thanks again for the help--this forum is great.

Another question: I received a replacement 8310 (refurbished/possibly new) from ATT. It runs considerably slower than my previous 8310. There is nothing on my phone--it is still on the factory settings--is there anything I can do to fix this issue? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
