Angry Custom Ringtones - 06-17-2008, 04:40 PM

On all my other phones, I had avoided the cost associated with downloading ringtones by using a wave editing program to take a section of a song I like and saving it in a format compatible with my phone. I tried it on the curve 8310. I can hear the whole ringtone through the handheld media player but, when someone calls only the first 3 seconds are played, then it starts over. Does anyone know why?

Your file is too large. Make it less than 500KB, and under 30 seconds.

AND, welcome to the BBForums.

Do you have a memory card in? My ringtones play for probably a min. I make them w a splitter and depending on how long the split is determines whether or not they start over. But for the most part the split is long plays entirely. Also if its a text or email it starts over again if I haven't checked it.

TMo does not allow your BB to ring more than 30 seconds before it goes to voicemail.
