Anyone having isssues with AIM version 1.0 and Windows Live Messenger on the 8320 OS4.5.0.42? They both don't connect theyt have been trying to connect for an hour. BB IM, yahoo IM and google chat wokr just fine.

Not sure...I uninstalled them all and just installed JiveTalk

It's not free but it's simply the best IM app out there for the BB. It does have a free 30 day trial.

As JC said, it's not free, but once you use it you'll see that it's worth the price. It's a very reliable, well-designed program.

Have you tried any other IM clients besides the basic ones you can download off the Blackberry site? You could also try WebMessenger Inc.

Have you tried a NON BETA OS????

What versions are they? I am using OS 4.2.2.184 and pulled the Windows Live Messenger off the Vodaphone 4.5 OS for the 8310 to get the most recent version of Live Messenger (2.0.46). Got tired of waiting for them to update it on the Blackberry site (still at 1.0.16 or whatever it is). It is working fine for me, but I'm not using OS 4.5, so not sure if that's causing your problem or not. AIM version is 2.0.46 on the Vodaphone OS as well. What versions are they on .42 that you are using?

AIM version 2.0 won't work so I had to downgrade to V.1.0 and it works a little better. When I would try to log in using AIM V.2.0 it would say: "this service is not available" but v.1.0 works okay now, a little buggy. Windows live messenger works okay now. Thanks for the feedback everyone
