You can try EVERYTHING. Nothing will work.
Bring the phone back to where you bought it from, and get a new replacement unit.
I just got mine a few weeks ago.
Same problem as yours. Exact same message. Took the phone back to my provider, and they went "Oh, you need to send in your Curve 8310 for repair".
I went " Screw you. This is faulty and its brand new. I want a new one !"
And now I have brand new 8310. Haha.
