Question Receiving New Error Message When Starting the Camera - Help Needed

Please Login to Remove!

I have a fairly new (just a couple weeks old) 8310 (AT&T). Out of the box everything, including the camera, worked fine. Yesterday I tried upgrading to the 4.5.0.37 OS, and afterwards realized that not only couldnt I get the video camera to start, but now I couldnt even get the regular camera to start. Did a complete wipe of the OS (couldn't connect using JL_Cmder so used the alternate method as explained in the FAQ) then reloaded the original OS (4.2.2) thinking that might fix the problem, since I had no problems using the camera prior to the upgrade. Well unfortunately that didnt help, and I'm still receiving the error message when starting the camera (see screen shot below). The File Free under status shows 31,409,924 - but this problem was also happening when I had a 4GB microsd card installed. And I didnt have any other applications running (aside from the normal ones that always run). Any help would definitely be appreciated. Ideally I'd love to be able to get the camera issue resolved and upgrade back up to 4.5.0.37.

Dude,

You're screwed.

You can try EVERYTHING. Nothing will work.

Bring the phone back to where you bought it from, and get a new replacement unit.

I just got mine a few weeks ago.

Same problem as yours. Exact same message. Took the phone back to my provider, and they went "Oh, you need to send in your Curve 8310 for repair".

I went " Screw you. This is faulty and its brand new. I want a new one !"

And now I have brand new 8310. Haha.

Let me know how it goes, man..

Cheers

Ray

nope. comes from people trying to load the wrong OS onto it or with a conflicting app loaded onto it before the new OS install.

Nope. Not with mine

I had the problem the minute the phone reached my hands.

And there's 2 more ( same batch bought together with mine ) in our company with the same problem.

All 3 phones ( mine included ) were replaced with new ones.

It's a bug.
