Wanted to see if anyone has the same problem. I use a Sprint Novatel S720 aircard as my primary internet connection option while on the road. Sometimes I will use BDM to install software and sync BES. However, I can't run smartview and BDM at the same time. As soon as smartview launches, the BDM window disappears. If I close smartview, BDM reappears. I think its cause smartview tries to take over the blackberry thinking I'm going to use it to tether. Anyone have this problem or a solution? Thanks.

I know some users do not install the software, use a configuration script and dial using windows dial up. The number is #777 this would allow you to do everything, but if you are using BES, then you should have over the air sync...(i think)
