Default Will my new Curve have the 4.5 update?

Please Login to Remove!

I am getting a Curve this Friday from VZW. Would it have the 4.5 update installed already? How can I check to know?
Is the 4.5 update available for the VZW Curve?

New member here, and new to the BB world as well. Sorry if this is a stupid newbie question.

Incredible response time folks!

So, should I download the 4.5 from the links here? Will these work on the VZW Curve?

Thanks

There are no 4.5 OS's available here for the 8330. They haven't been released yet.

(I see 8300 in your profile and Verizon as the carrier. You'll have less confusion around the forums if you change that to 8330.)

WHy one should do this i.e. change from 8300 to 8330.
My bb is 8300, why should i call it as 833.

If you have an 8300, you should list 8300 in your profile.
If you have an 8330, you should list 8330 in your profile.

As for switching... if you had an 8300, and then switched to an 8330... you should switch your profile from 8300 to 8330.
You can use this logic for any combination of device changes and/or new purchases.

It's really not that complicated.

There is a copy of the beta for O.S 4.5 for the CDMA curves out there.. I just loaded it and it worked fine, but I would only recommend someone with experience even attempt to load it.

There are slight differences but the main difference is which Curve is carried by which carrier. 8300, 8310, 8320, and 8330 are all Curves but each one is slightly different and is supported by different carriers.

My 8320 is not the same as your 8300, that's why.

As posted already by others there is a BIG difference between the 8300 and the 8330. If your BB is from Verizon then your BB is an 8330. The profile information really helps us help you when issue arise. It was just a suggestion, not a requirement. You can put 12345 in your profile if you want to but it makes it harder for people to help you.
