Default Email Suspension

Please Login to Remove!

I'm on sprint and just switched from a pearl to a curve. I used the desktop manager to move all my settings. I noticed that I have not been receiving email on my curve. I tried to log-in into the email setup and it tells me my account has been suspended....what the hell?? Any ideas??

Have you contacted your carrier. They would be the best authority to let you know why your account was cancelled.

"Any ideas"??

Well the number one reason would be non-payment. Maybe the check was lost?

Have you logged into your BIS account to switch your service to the new device?

Where did the Curve come from? Perhaps it was previously used by someone else and the associated PIN/ESN has been suspended by the carrier.

I just tried to log into my BIS account and it tells me my account has been suspended. I bought the curve from Sprint. Everything was working fine with my pearl yesterday.

I think a call to Sprint is in your near future.

Does anyone have the direct line to sprint blackberry support? Their customer service people are pointless.

Their customer service was why I dropped Sprint almost 20 years ago. When you have a problem, these guys make VZW customer service look like superstars.

Here is the number I used last time I needed assistance:

1-877-654-9111

Good luck. Could just be that your BIS account is suspended, not your entire account.

Well here is my issue:

I had a pearl, which everything was fine including email. I just got my curve after a long wait on backorder. Called sprint last night and switched services over to the curve. Did test calls and everything was great. This mornign I realized I did not get any emails after checkin my inbox on my PC. I tried to login into my BIS account and it states my account has been "suspended". I was like huh?!?!?! I tried to login through the email settings on the phone and states the same thing "suspended contact administrator". So I call customer care and they are repeatedly telling me, that I need to go through the email set-up process. I told them why would I need to do that? I've had 2 blackberrys prior to this one and I never had to do the set-up process again. So I did the process anyway which I did through the BIS on my pc. It asks for a PIN and IMEI. The box or battery compartment did not have an IMEI at all so I used the ESN DEC instead. When I put in both those numbers it states "this blackberry is registered with another carrier. This phone needs to be re-registered" blah blah blah. The rep told me I should go into a sprint repair center to see if they can resolve it or else they would need to give me a replacement phone. I'm thinking in my head D*MITT!! I had to wait awhile to get this one and now I might have to give return this and possibly wait awhile again?!?!

Can anyone enlighten me as to what happened?? Could it just be a simple reprogramming issue that Tech Support needs to do or am I just outta luck?!?! I bought 2 curves because I have 2 phones on my account and the other one is working perfect. I'm so used to that feeling of getting my emails instantly I just feel so out of it today.

Well everything works fine except for the emails. I mean the suspension is the reason why I'm not getting emails I'm assuming.

Baldie - when I switched to the Curve there was an issue with the correct 'codes' for the Curve. Not sure why, though.

At the time, I had the $30 BIS plan, and they had to put me on the $39.99 plan until they could figure out why they couldn't get the $30 plan to work. This was only for a couple of hours, and wasn't a big deal.

We've since switched our family plan to the talk/data/text plan (yesterday) and didn't have any issues switching.

well I'd like to apologize. I realized during the setup process I was switching 2 digits in the PIN which is probably why it was not registering. It is fine now....=). Sorry for the rant.
