Where are you located? If in the US, you won't get HTML until this weekend.

Also, did anyone else notice extreme unresponsiveness when upgrading to 4.5?

The other side has to be upgraded as well. RIM is performing said upgrades to the BIS servers this weekend. You will need to push your service books down to your device again once they are finished. That should give you HTML email on BIS.

If you are also on BES, that is a separate upgrade not currently included in 4.1.5.

Like all of RIM's upgrades and maintenance, it will be a flawless install and your device will glow with the HTML like super powers.

Just kidding. You shouldn't have to do anything, except maybe resend your service books from your BIS account.

I may be downgrading back to 4.2 anyway, Ever since the 4.5 install it's been extremely sluggish, taking 10 seconds to scroll from one icon to the next, I've attempted multiple battery pulls - it's just slow, gonna play with it some more tonight before I just give up

BIS upgrade to allow HTML email, assuming you have the seekrit 4.5 OS.

Ok, another question. Something is definitely wrong with my backlight. I've got it set to 100, 30 seconds and automatic dim set to no, same as before the upgrade.

Now though, it just dims and goes back too full at random - it has changed twice while typing the message.

Any ideas?

Probably a bug with 4.5. I have heard other 4.5 users report the same issue.

Bummer, shoulda researched that before I upgraded. I looked and found all the commom issues, didn't see rthat one mentioned though
