| Facebook Application not receiving notifications?? Please Login to Remove! I have the facebook application for the blackberry and for some reason when I log in it doesn't show the notifications in the application...
I looked through some online help and it says "Verify that you have updated the email address that receives Facebook® account notifications to an email address that is associated
with your BlackBerry device." ...what email is associated with my blackberry device? and how do I make an email associated with my device? | | Offline

The FB app just waits for an email to come into the BB from FB, reads it, and creates the notification. In the options, you can tell it to either leave the email after it's done this, or to delete it from the BB. | | Offline

Now I was wondering, when I recieve a wall post for example, can I reply to that wall post from the notification like I would do in an email received? | | Offline

I'm still trying to get this to work, I'll let you know how it goes. I have just updated to the newest version of the facebook app for blackberry so I gotta see if this fixes it.
I am getting one problem and this is when I'm logging onto facebook through the blackberry. The problem is is that a message shows up upon logging in saying "Your are attempting to open a secure connection, but the server's certificate is not trusted". When I go to "Trust Certificate" it asks me for my "HANDHELD KEY STORE PASSWORD"... Now I have no idea what this is and how to find it out, please help??????? | | Offline

| No it's bought from Rogers and I have no idea whether it was on a BES or not, I just use it for personal use with personal email too.
Also I was just wondering, does FaceBook app have to be logged in to your phone to receive notifications? cause I wasn't logged in on facebook on my blackberry, but receive a notification by email and than when I logged into the facebook app on the phone it didn't show the notification....??? | | Offline

| I was hoping that when someone wrote on your wall, you could see what they wrote and respond to it write from the application, but all I get is the notification and not the option to reply back... in order to reply back to the wall post, I have to go to friends list and find the friend, than select write on there wall post. | | Offline

I have the old version and it seems to work better, in that I can reply to wall posts etc direct from the notification. And yes you have to have your phone logged into FB for the notifications to work, otherwise you just get an email. I use a gmail account for it and it works great. | | Offline
