I was just wondering if there was any articles or threads already explaining what all the symbols and icons mean in BB-Messenger? For instance what does it mean when a contact is italicized and something is over the blue smiley face. And there are a few others but if there was an article I could read all of them. Does that make sense? Thanks for the help.

I found the manual I got to explain the icons nicely. I don't recall if it had BB Messenger icons in it though.

[Edit] Nope, nothing in the manual on the BB Messenger icons and nothing really online anywhere. Strange.

If you hightlight the contact and select "Contact Info" it will tell you the status. The status usually coincides with the icons and italicised names.
