1. When the BIS e-mail upgrade goes through for VZW (any idea when?), if someone was using Empower HTML like I am now, do I just have to disable Empower's HTML option and the new 'stock' upgraded HTML e-mail will be showing just fine? Will we need OS 4.5 as well for this to work or just the BIS upgrade? Also, will there be options to change the e-mail header and body colors/font/size like in Empower or no?

2. I am just a Blackberry Curve user not with any company (not BES, just regular BIS) and I have a Hotmail and Gmail account linked to be pushed to my device. Now. for the Hotmail account I have tried resending service books, re-linking the account, etc.. and ever since I've had it go to my Blackberry it has taken anywhere from 6-15 minutes (usually about 10) for the e-mails to get from my Inbox to my device.
BUT, with G-mail, it get pushed IMMEDIATELY and same goes for sent messages. What is going on? Why is the Hotmail one so delayed and no others ever are? I know I read something about how long you've had a Hotmail account (grandfathered) and Premium Hotmail members (I have had this regular free account with Hotmail for ages), but since it does get pushed successfully, I don't see why any of that matters and why it takes so long everytime.

Any ideas?

Oh wow, so that is an issue for everybody? I could never find that info anywhere! What is the reason that it is delayed everytime now? WOW, that refers exactly to my question:

Yes you need the 4.5 OS on your device too for html email & hotmail email changes.

Also I believe you can still use empower if you wish but you will need to disable it to see the BB html.

Yes you will be able to change the fonts but not sure about the colours and email header.

I've been scouring the forums for this info but keep getting different answers..

It's happening this weekend. It started last night. VZ should make their upgrades on Sunday.

So I'm brand new to a blackberry, had a moto q, and not sure about somethings. How do i check to see if i have the newest os on my phone. Just got it yesterday. Also, how do i load pics from my computer to the phone. I'm using a macbook pro with missingsync as the regular bb software won't load on the mac.
