I tried searching but couldn't find anything on this.

When I play a song using the media player, it finishes and then skips to the next song. I can't recall if it did this before I upgraded operating system, so maybe I'm remembering my Pearl didn't do this.

It is treating the "all songs" category as a playlist. Sometimes I want to just play one song (or sound) and then stop, not continue on.

When I open the ringtones folder and play a ringtone, it stops after the one.

Other than putting each song in its own folder, anyone have any ideas how to disable the playlist feature?

Your media player basically assumes that you want to listen to all your music and such will play all your music until you tell it otherwise. I've not found anyway to change this behavior under any of the choice lists and I do not believe it is possible. I have not upgraded my Curve as yet so yours likely did it before you upgraded, maybe as you said the Pearl was different.

I haven't tried it, but I don't think putting your music into individual folders will help. If the song is listed, it's going to play it ........... simple as that.
