I have an English version I have uploaded to my rapidshare account, if you want to know more info, I'd be glad to explain it to you. The first thing you should do is backup your just in case that is the most important thing to do or you'll if you don't like the new OS.
If you do not like this new OS you can restore back to original configeration.

I like the new OS upgrade, it's nice to have a video recorder, and also see html in your emails.
I have taken a few videos with it, but that is not why I upgraded.
here is a link if you want the new OS:(Please d/l with the free button).

RapidShare: Easy Filehosting

Directions:
Download this OS for your BlackBerry model(8320 Curve).
*First Please do a complete back-up of your device before installing this New OS.
Plug in your BlackBerry via USB and Open your new Desktop Manager.
You should be prompted to upgrade.Be patient, it can take more than an hour... Mine took nearly one hour.
DO NOT DISCONNECT THE DEVICE.

Any questions feel free to PM me
I was given this info from a very reliable source this RIM OS Has been out Since February, only a select few have this info.

I have installed this on My Blackberry Curve.
The Following Info Will Be Installed To Your Blackberry 8320:
1)The Ability to download and save .doc, .ppt, .xls, .wpd, .txt, .html, .pdf, .zip attatchments
2)Push e-mail for AOL, Hotmail, and MSN accounts
3)Save Audio Attachments
4)Save video Attachments

So far I have had no problems with my T-Mob version, I've had it installed for a month now. I just posted the links above this post.

Usually if you're getting a blank screen (not white, but no activity at all) plus the red indicator light flashing (2 flashes, longer pause, 2 flashes, pause), its not likely to be saveable. Best to do is try any of the ways to try to trigger jl_cmdr to work and try to wipe it. Also try a different usb port or computer.

But you can also try to open Desktop Manager and keep plugging it in and trying to catch it if it momentarily recognizes the phone. Start DM, go to the application loader and start it up. Select the add/remove applications and it'll ask which device. Then try to plug and unplug the phone and hopefully the phone will show. If you can get it to show you should be able to try to install the OS.

I've only seen one person post about being able to recover theirs from this status. Good luck.

You are damn right Monkeypaw. That's exactly what my BB is doing. What OS do you think is the best to load at this point? Please advise and send me a link for the OS that will make my bb stable. It's really frrustrating. I have wiped and reloaded 3 times already and it doesnt seem to stop.

Thank you for the link Monkeypaw.....now there is a new situation. I noticed whenever my BB is plugged to my PC with the USB cable, it works fine for as long as it is plugged in but once i remove cable or shutdown PC, my BB also goes off. Any solution for this??

Hello JC....my BB will only work as long as it is connected to my PC. Once i disconnet BB or power down PC, BB stops working and reboots often. What might be the cause of this?

Does it work if you use the regular AC charger? I mean not the usb cable. I'm wondering if there's some kind of electrical issue where it's losing power from the battery momentarily. Maybe the battery, maybe the phone.

Is this happening with the sim and sd cards in there? If so, try it without either and see if that changes things.

If none of that seems to be the problem, then I hope you can warranty exchange it.

And I can finally start dloading and viewing videos of any practical usage?
How about a fix for playing AAC files?

Please forgive me if this is a dumb question, but is there any reason older language packs (chinese) might not work with this?

I wonder if that's what a condemned man says right before they drop the trap door. This thread is a hoot. The same guys who are thrilled to be "upgrading" on one page of this thread are begging for help to restore their original OS two or three pages later.

The rest of us were too thrilled to even post that we were thrilled. I'm extremely glad I upgraded. I tried .42, .44, .46, and .52. Only .46 caused problems. .37 I didn't touch because I was so late in hearing about it and there was that SIM card frying thing.

Mine's stable which is good because giving up some of the new features would be tough.

I love OS 4.5 but for some reason I cannot seem to use the wi-fi to surf the internet. I have a feeling its due to the fact I have a T-Mobile phone but I have it unlocked and running AT&T on it. Any ideas?

Just to clarify, this thread including the first post is about 4.5.0.37. The package version happens to be 4.5.0.52 which is confusing. But in the Options > About screen it should show 4.5.0.37 if installed.

The .52 I've referred to is a different version talked about in the Beta You than Me forum.

The prior version 4.2.2.184 was in package 4.2.2.338 so was less confusing.

Took the risk and upgraded. The upgrade was smooth. Took about 30 mins. I'll post back after a couple hours of playing around with it

I am just a bit cautious and am making a mental list of OS upgrade failures and successes on this forum and the crackberry forum. so far, this release looks promising, especially since i dont do the myfaves thing. again, thanks!

No problem. This might be a glitch, but youtube only works for me when it is on Wi-Fi, which isnt a problem for me. I'm either at my house (with wi-fi) or at my college (with wi-fi).

hmmm interesting, that shouldnt be a problem with me for the same reason, lol. although i thought i recalled people saying almost the opposite, about the internet only working well when disconnected from wi-fi. i think they may have been European users tho...

also, any luck with streaming internet radio?

My internet works fine, just the media player gives me an error when trying to load a video. But if I'm on wi-fi it plays the video just fine.
