My wifi connection on my 8320 seems to have gone really strange lately. Beejive wont work when the home screen displays uma but will work when it is UMA what is the difference and is there anything I can do to make this right. It is really annoying as it used to work just fine.

Im on ornage in the uk.

uma vs. UMA is much the same as edge vs. EDGE. Lower case uma means no data, but phone/sms will still work.

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 8320)

To clarify, lowercase edge or uma means no connection to the Blackberry service (i.e., BIS or BES). It does not mean no data.

GSM is what you would see on the cell network when you did not have a data connection and with UMA you have a data connection unless the application does not support wireless.

Do you have a Blackberry Data Plan? You need one in order to have upper case UMA.
