Default Messages slow to delete

Please Login to Remove!

I have an odd problem with my 8320. When i highlight multiple messages and then select "delete" there is a delay....usually 20-30 seconds before the messages are deleted. The phone is effectively frozen during that time.

Every other function seems to work at regular speed, and if i delete messages individually there is no delay. There used to be no delay deleting multiple messages, but the problem appeared out of nowhere.

For the record i'm running v. 4.2.2.180 and i have deleted most unessential applications, languages, etc. The only third party apps i have are jive talk, google maps, opera mini and jewel rumble.

Anyone have any idea about why this is happening?

Have you tried a battery pull? If not, pull out and reinsert after 30 secs.

Yeah.....sorry, should have pointed that out. It's a long standing problem so i've been through plenty of battery pulls.

I'm not sure then. It sounds like you already cleaned up your memory. As long you are over 12MB, then that should not be an issue.
