Default Why does the messages button show Emails aswell?

Please Login to Remove!

This is the only gripe im having with my Blackberry Curve at the moment:

I have an Icon for my email, which shows just my email.

I have an icon for my messages which shows email and sms's combined.

Why cant the messages icon just show sms's just like the email shows just emails???

kinda makes the email icon pointless since you can see them in the messages icon.

Because the main Messagges folder is intended to get ALL your messages. You can move your SMS out if you want. Messages > Options > General Settings > Separate Email and SMS Inboxes.

The email specific icon is pointless,. Hide it.

Do you know how to hide the email icon on a Zen theme? can't find away to remove it from the menu on the left side.

In the full application screen, move it off the top line of the screen, and replace it with another icon.

Unless you want to only view email from that email account. Plenty of people seem to see a point to it... YMMV, obviously.

Well, if you use the seperate option on the General options screen, on my phone anyways, there is no new messages icon, infact you have to explore from the email/messages icon to view the SMS inbox.

Both the Email and Messages Icon just show emails with that option enabled.
