I have read several old posts reference this topic but am wondering if anything has changed in the last year? I currently have the 700P and have not had all the crash/lockup problems that others have experienced, have had some issues but nothing as bad as I've read. I have the oppurtunity to get the 8330 but use it primarly for a phone and text messages and will probably start using some email functions. This is for personal use and I only have one email account so needing 10 is not a neccesity. Any advice would be great, thanks. I am curious about the threaded sms function for text messages because I do like that function on the Treo.

Funny, 'cuz I just basically wrote this reply to someone else. I don't NEED a smart phone or PDA, but I wanted one and enjoyed the crap out of my 755p - when it worked right. I had to have mine replaced 3 times in a < 4 mo. period, and eventually put my foot down when my svc. provider had me waiting for yet ANOTHER refurbished model (keep in mind mine was brand new when I bought it, and didn't work 100% right out of the box). So, I have had my 8330 for about 1 month, maybe month and a half. I am real new here, obviously, but am trying to learn more about the device and its features / options. I miss the touchscreen, but was ready to accept that it would eventually have died on my Treo. I find the email and media stuff is pretty right on with the BB, so I am a convert already. My only real issue is - how long is that trackball going to work, given that its the main button?
