Default Transfering Data and deleting old data.... - 07-08-2008, 10:43 PM

My new curve's glass broke. So the company is sending me a new phone. I have backed up my old phone to the Blackberry client. How do I transfer all the information to the new phone? Also how do I delete all the info off of the old phone before I return it?
Thanks!!

If the old phone is still able to power on and work then just use the Switch Device Wizard option on the Blackberry Desktop Manager.

Or you could run the Backup and Restore option to create a backup of your device then restore it to the new one.

Wirelessly posted

To delete old info go to options > security options > general settings, hit menu key and select wipe handheld.

If the screen is beyond use, you can wipe the device of all old info by using Desktop Manager. Go into Backup/Restore, select the advanced function and then shift click all the required fields on the device in the righthand field before using clear to delete the data.
