Default desktop manager encountered error on 8310 (BIS) from att

Not sure if I should post here on in General"

Recently (as in the last week) I have been receiving the desktop manager encountered an error message when attempting to sync my curve. The desktop manager version is 4.2.2.14 and came with my phone purchased in April.

The error signature is: AppName: desktopmgr.exe AppVer: 4.2.2.14 ModName: iltif32.dll ModVer: 5.5.1.243 Offset: 0004941a


Anyone know how I can correct this? I have reinstalled the desktop manager but that did not seem to help.
