Default 8310 Curve newbie questions

Please Login to Remove!

Just got my blackberry at work upgraded to the Curve. My last BB was in the 6000 or 7000 series I believe, so I'm still getting used to the 8310 and have a few questions I haven't been able to resolve myself.

In no particular order:

#1 - Is there more than one vibrate strength? The Vibrate mode doesn't appear as powerful as it was on my older model and I'm pretty much not feeling the vibration all the time, although I've confirm it's there. I'd rather not have to turn on one of the audible tones to alert me to messages;

#2 - Although provided to me for "employer" email, I initiated the blackberry setup to receive my personal AOL email on it as well. BUT, both the work and AOL mail appears in the same INBOX on the top far left.

Can I keep the two messages seperated in two INBOXES somehow? I'm stopping all day to read AOL SPAM and other junk email.

#3 - Even if the answer to #2 is yes, how do you temporarily stop the AOL email from coming into the INBOX on the BB, short of disabling the email account and having to set it all up again next time you want to see whats there?

#4 - Been trying to email myself mp4 video files, but I can't seem to open up the attachment and play them. The email doesn't recognize the attachment as it does other attachments like word, powerpoint, ect. Is there a way to open them and move them to play?

Thanks for any input. I appreciate the assistance.

Welcome to the BBForums.

1. No.
2. Yep, you can separate out the BES mail to a separate folder with Empower BES mailbox. Check it out in our Aftermarket Software section.
3. Disabling the account would be the only way.
4. Nope, can't email mp4s.

Good luck, enjoy. Your new BB is WAY more powerful than the old... you will like it.
