I'm a NEW owner of the BB 8330. Works great. Does anyone know If the 8330 can play Streaming Audio from internet radio station?

If so, what is needed (software, instructions ...)?

You can stream audio over the net using:

or use the beta of,

It is possible. As toadyy has pointed out moodio.fm is a solid choice right now. Be warned though, many stream URLs do not run properly on handheld devices, so be prepared to spend some time hunting for streams that work, have the content you want, and are of good enough quality to make listening enjoyable.

As I've written in another forum, Moodio has worked successfully for me from day one. Maybe I've been lucky.

Moodio doesn't work for me, so far. I went to the m.moodio.fm web site to select my stations. Then from my BB i use the BB Browser to go to the moodio web site, select my station. It then uses the BB Media player and tries to load the file (sdp). Then shows me an ERROR (An error occured attempting to play media). What am I doing wrong, should I install another media player?

There is a good chance that the issue is the stream URL that was put into the system by other users. Keep trying streams until you find some that work. I have had a 5-10% success rate with user stream URLs.

Anyone find a way to stream Sirius yet?

I keep seeing references and hearing people say they can stream sirius or think there's a way to do it, but I haven't seen any actual written instructions on how to do it.

I have a funny feeling that Telus has blocked access to moodio for its users. I've read on another site that they've blocked access to youtube so it wouldn't surprise me to hear that they've done the same for moodio.

I have nothing to back that up tho....just my opinion.

After reading a bunch of form post on this error I'm thinking its my carrier thats blocking access. I'm on AT&T with a BB curve OS 4.5.0.69 and had up until today have been enjoying youtube videos and moodio.fm streams. No changes have been made to my setting since streams were last functioning.
A couple of post suggests deselecting Full Screen option from the media player. But this didn't correct the problem for me.

I curious to know if theres information on whether AT&T has a policy on restricting this feature on non G3 phones?

I have an 8110 with AT&T and I was able to stream fine from both youtube and moodio.fm today. I don't think AT&T is restricting anything...

Moodio works for me on AT&T as well. The key is to keep the bit rate at the default setting of 24kbps. If you didn't change any setting your fine. I just wished there was a way to turn on screen saver when using Blackberry Media player because it just kills the battery in like 2 hours or so. Xplayer is much nicer and easy on the battery too but it will only play MP3 radio stations where Moodio is setup to take almost any feed. Only thing is being on Edge if you try to stream a 128kbps unless your close to the cell tower it will get statically (not the cell phone noise). So with Xplayer probably anything under 64kbps with buffer of 200kb seems to work for me.

I've now spent 2 months trying to get sirius for my 8310 and no go. I've read and tried all the instructions, but nothing works yet. ANY BODY HAVE ANY IDEAS?????
