I recently transitioned up to the CURVE and have noticed that if I have, say,
one new email in my INBOX, AND a message reminder from a calendar appointment I set, there is a little number 2 on the top center of the screen.

On my older blackberry, I don't remember the number indicating calendar reminders, and I'd rather not see the calendar reminders as part of the 2 total. I'm used to just glancing at the BB to see how many new email messages are there.

Is there a way of not having that top center number include calendar reminders in it's total?
