Hi guys, my 8320 has a bad synch/power connector, TMobile is sending out a replacement, can some1 please give me exact directions on how to do a restore to the new 8320?
I remember seeing a long time ago on this site that there are some specific things that have to be done, which are different than doing a normal restore to the same phone.

If there is enough charge left on the bad 8320 then install Desktop Manager on your PC and use the switch device wizard. Otherwise, install desktop manager, connect the phone and Click Backup/Restore then restore. Don't forget to log into BIS and update your PIN and IMEI. If you are on BES do a restore and then ask for an Enterprise Activation.

Gotta love those backups!!

I was able to do a backup of my 8320, so basically all i have to do is restore that backup to the new 8320? i thought there was some type of protection about restoring to a different phone. Thanks for the help Thatzmister2u

You are correct. Simply connect your new phone and restore your most recent backup. After that, what I would do, is just click the icon "Set Up Internet E-Mail" and it automatically asks if you want to change your pin.
