Default Tmo OS on ATT

Please Login to Remove!

I have an unlocked 8310 using with Tmo. Unfortunately I dont have the Myfav menu because it isnt a phone from my network. I was wondering if it was possible to install a Tmobile OS on my ATT 8310? If so which one would be the most stable and reliable?

Thanx

You can install any carrier OS on your phone as lonf as it is for that model. If you want TMo MyFavs, application, there are specific instructions how to do that here on the forums. I'm mobile and can't direct you to the specific link, but if you search "myfav" you will find it.

I see, then I guess I'm not to interested in the OS if I can't get the myfav from it.

I guess all I have to do is call them to get the myfav service book then, ill search the forum to see if I'm able to do it myself somehow before I go calling CS.

Thanx for your responses.

If you are TMo, you can use MyFavs, just install the application using the instructions you find here.

You cannot run the OS for 8320 on the 8310.

You can run the OS for any carriers' 8310 on an AT&T 8310, even if it's used on TMoblie.

you CAN get the T-Mo my fav's app on your device tho, by editing the blackberry.alx file and removing the _vendorID= tags for those COD's

Code:
<!-- T-Mobile filesets -->
                <fileset Colour="True" series="8800|8300" Java="1.0" _vendorID="100">
                        <files>
                                net_rim_theme_100_320x240_b.cod
                                net_rim_bb_medialoader_100_five_icon_library.cod
                                net_rim_tmo_five.cod
                        </files>
                </fileset>
                <fileset Colour="True" series="8800|8300" Java="1.0" _vendorID="114|123|134|170|171">
                        <files>
                                net_rim_theme_114_320x240_b.cod
                                net_rim_bb_medialoader_114_five_icon_library.cod
                                net_rim_tmo_five.cod
                        </files>
                </fileset>
Just remove the whole bold parts, from the _ to the 2nd ", leaving the >,
and you will have the app, since you are on the T-Mo network you should be able to get the service book.

I created a myfav alx file, if you drop it in your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\(os version)

MyFaves will show up in the app loader and you can install it

btw it is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files" for x64 users
Attached Files
File Type: zip myfaves.zip (470 Bytes, 13 views)
