Default Contact Syncing

Please Login to Remove!

Posted yesterday. Thought I'd try again...

I am in the process of deciding between a Blackberry Curve 8330 and a Treo 800. I need to syncronize 2500 contacts with Outlook 2003. I don't need exchange sync or push email. I just need to sync Outlook data (tasks, notes, calendar, contacts) with Outlook. Will the built-in contact manager or any other application allow me to sync 2500 contacts and most of the Outlook fields?

You will be able to sync your 2500 contacts without any problem. I just did it 2 months ago. with USB connection with the desktop manager. Worked like a charm.

Thank you very much, sugar. Do all of the outlook fields sync? And, about how much internal memory is used for 2500 contacts?

With the Curve, even after ensuring the fields were mapped correctly, I am only able to sync information from the general tab of MS Outlook contacts. As a result, if information under the details tab is important to you (e.g., anniversary and/or birthday dates, etc.), then I would look into this issue because I was not able to sync this data.

Self-made tool, thanks much. This is exactly what I needed to know.

Does anyone use other software to get around this limitation?
