Default Battery Life bewteen 8100 and 8310

Please Login to Remove!

I had an 8100 for 2 years. I used to go through about 1/2 to 2/3 of the battery in a normal use (for me) full day. I just got the 8310. Doing the same usage the phone is about dead by the end of the day? What am I missing or is this normal between the 2 phones?

Does the GPS drain? I have the screen set to 50%?

Thanks for the help.

There are a number of factors that affect battery life that have been discussed to death. Try searching for tips. Someone else might be willing to retype everything but I'm not up for it (sorry). In fact, I just came from another battery life thread just now...

Wirelessly posted (Curve 8310)

I found that setting the phone to automatically turn off at night and on in the morning will help save the battery.

I have this set to just turn off and on for an hour when I'm sleeping, but it's plugged in all night lol

GPS does drain the battery, especially when you're out of range of the satellites.

Bluetooth drains the battery, too.

Question

I can't see anywhere if GPS is on or off. I only know when it's on when I'm actually using it??
