Hello all,

Am I doing something wrong? I needed a replacement battery for my wife's 8300. I live in the Bahamas so simply going to the mall and getting replacement parts is not an option. I got a friend who was traveling to Miami to purchase a battery for me, I gave him the exact numbers on the original battery (C-S2 Blue for Curve). He bought exactly that, it's blue with C-S2 on it, however when I pop it in the 8300 all i get is the battery symbol with lighting through it (but only when the wall adapter/charger is plugged into the phone).

Does this simply mean that the battery needs more charging and I should leave it alone for a bit. Or does it mean the battery is not compatible (which would baffle me, seeing that it's an exact match)?

Any help would be appreciated.

Let it charge several hours, 3-4, and you should be fine... unless he bought a bad battery, and you will know in a few hours.
