Hi

I'm now on my second brand new 8310 because O2 had no idea what to do with this - new one arrived today and it's having the same error as the last one - what are the chances?

Blackberry arrived 48 hours ago - all fine - loaded on the 4.5 desktop software and the 4.2.2 operating system.

emails, browsing and phone are all fine.

can receive sms fine

whenever I go to reply to a sms or compose a new one, once I choose the contact (or even when I enter the number manually) I get the error:

java.lang.illegalArgumentException and won't let me continue.

taking the battery out didn't help
wiping the handheld didn't help

any ideas?

Its bad software. I believe the curves can handle 4.5. If give it a shot.

It failed half way through loading on 4.5 and now is only showing a circle with a square in it and 561 in tiny letters underneath....

What do I do now?
