The custom wallpapers are not included in this release. At least, they weren't in the beta release of it. I delete them on mine but my wife and daughter like them so I pulled them from earlier versions.

for any of you using 4.5 on AT&T and using hotmail, how is the new hotmail push e-mail working? do you get a new, dedicated hotmail icon/folder on your BB?

thanks!

No, but some themes that worked in OS 4.2 will not work in OS 4.5.

Please use the search button.

On your device go to Options >Status

The link for optimizing your BB's memory is in my sig. My sig is out there in almost 26,000 locations. Not sure how one can miss it.

Arrow 8310 OS v4.5.0.52 (Multilanguage) Vodafone Ireland - 07-17-2008, 02:18 PM

Finally!
Code:
Software For BlackBerry® Curve (TM) 8310 smartphone

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.52 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 4.5.0.52
Consisting of:

    * Applications: 4.5.0.37
    * Software Platform: 2.7.0.55
    * File name: 8310M_PBr4.5.0_rel52_PL2.7.0.55_A4.5.0.37_Vodafone.exe
    * File size: 78.97MB

Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.
I was reading about the release from TIM and Orange UK and I got the Idea to visit the BlackBerry software downloads page and check Vodafone Ireland and I couldn't believe my own eyes! It was there available for download! I'm just downloading the new OS + 4.5 Desktop manager. Sweet!

sorry, didn't do a search, figured the answer would be quickly obtained here, though I knew it was out there somewhere (well now I know virtually everywhere). Thanks

Default Uncheck English UK??? - 07-17-2008, 02:41 PM

hey guys... when I upgrade to this new release, can I uncheck the "English UK" box or do I have to leave that checked. I was just curious that if i unchecked, my device would remain "English US".

Off-topic

Honestly, this is a problem on this forum because we believe in helping and not simply posting "search!" However, searching is the way a forum should be used and people here just come on and post without browsing through the forums first. The only reason I. Have so many posts is because I answer the same questions over and over and over. I apologize for making an example out of you and don't mean to single you out but people need to search the forums for their answers. You'll find the answers you need and most of the time you'll find answers you didn't realize you needed.

/off topic

We'll now return to regular scheduled programming.

Just check or uncheck according to what language you want to remain on the BB.

Yes, you will need to go through the JCMOP again after installing the new OS to the PC.

Michele,

Did you follow the instructions in the first post? Delete the vendor.xml file, connect your phone, and open DM. If still nothing happens, try using the Application Loader in the DM.

3. Locate the vendor.xml file and delete it. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

zgnomis,

I only see UK English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese, Hungarian, Catalan, Czech, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew, and Turkish listed under "Input and Language Support" and Greek under "Input Support"

So I'd guess that's a no

The filename here is "8310M_PBr4.5.0_rel75_PL2.7.0.66_A4.5.0.52_TIM_Ital y.ex e"

An OS with Chinese, Japanese or Korean will be named.."8310CJK....xxxx"

You can "un-check" it. I unchecked everything from the Input Language thing, and I still have English US by default on mine.
