Default 8330 MMS Issues w/ Verizon - 07-25-2008, 12:06 PM

I have tried to research posts and tried troubleshooting this BS. It seems like there have been issues across the board with regards to providers and the MMS service.

I have tried a hard start with and without the phone on.
Tried registering my Host Routing Table under advanced options.
Tried sending myself a MMS
Tried 611 and Verizon troubleshooting rep couldnt figure it out.

I'm gonna upgrade the OS when I get home since I have 4.3.127 but as for right now I'm out of options and waiting on some pictures that I could really use right now.... (I could have them sent over email... but I'm trying to keep the pics low-key if you know what Im saying)

What is the actual issue you're having? You don't seem to mention it in your post. From what you did post, I am assuming that the MMS messages are not arriving on your device from someone else. Is that right?

What provider do they use? Are the messages less than 300KB in size? Do they indicate sent on their device or are they getting an error?

What happened when you tried to send yourself an MMS message? Did it send? Any errors if it didn't send?

Dave

Yeah. I have the unlimited everything plan through work.

I also checked and I have 28,000,000 bytes of free file space which should be enough.

You might be on a BES which may or may not restrict that service book being sent to your phone.

So when you try to send one what happens? Any error messages?

Not being able to send or receive MMS messages is most often a provisioning issues with your account. I find it hard to believe the Verizon rep just said, "I give up." and left you on your own.

The first TS rep I told I would try and upgrade to a higher OS and see if that helps if it didnt i would call back. after realizing 4.5 isnt out for verizon officially i called back

I retested this issue with another TS rep and I can send MMS but cannot recieve them. We ended up escalating the claim, I hope they can figure it out so I wont have to put another skin on a new curve.

It sounds like Verizon is escalating to their higher level of support so you're probably in good hands.
