Default Can I copy the .cod file directly to my BB?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello there,

When I selected the alx file and tried to load the app to my 8310 with Desktop Manager, a error message pops up indicating something like "no additional files found"(I can't recall the exact error text) but actually the .cod file is right there under the same directory. These happens to 3 sets of apps so I guess there is nothing wrong with the apps themselves and the problem must be with my BB device or desktop manager sw.

Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it? The firmware of my BB is V4.5.0.46.

By the way, is it possible to copy the alx or cod file directly to some location of the BB device(just like what we can do with Palm devices) without bothering with the Desktop Manager tool ?

Any advice is highly appreciated.

Leon

Wirelessly posted (8130 Pearl (Sprint))

You need to use the dm. No bypasses like others. You can just use the app loader without DM. I believe it Is in c > program files > common files. Somewhere is the standalone application. That should work fine.

And that loads the ALX file. So make sure the alx and cod are in the same folder
