So this is the 2nd time my phone has done this. I am wondering are they just the sim card because i do think the sim cards are old. Or could it be the OS by any chance? i have the new 4.5.0.37 on my T-mobile Blackberry curve 8320..Could that be the problem? or could it have been a 3rd party app? i deleted all the 3rd party app i had and wiped my phone from security/general settings.. So any help would be appreciated..i am getting the sim card replaced later today when the stores are open..but i would like to know what the problem could be..thanks very much..

OS release .37 on the 8320 has been known to fry SIM cards. Documented by several users in another thread here.

Load a different OS version, either older or newer

is there a newer one that is safer? and if not then how do i load an old one?

Very easy--our FAQ has directions to downgrade. Or upgrade--Check the 8320 Sticky Latest OS in this section.

.37 is the only OS that was widely known to fry SIMs.

I would recommend upgrading.
