Hi, I just got the 8330 Curve for Sprint last week.

One issue I'm having is that when I receive a new email, and I remove the BB from it's leather case, it's automatically taking me to that email, and opening it for me to read.
While that may seem convenient, I do get a fair amount of Spam that I don't want to open. So I'm wondering if there was a setting that I can't seem to find that would be causing this?

I thought that maybe the side convenience buttons were being pressed as I removed the BB from the case, but I set those to camera (right) and address book (left), but still have the same problem.

If anyone has some suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Again, I'm trying to prevent the auto-reading of email that is occuring.

Nope -- check existing threads on this. You need to wait about 15-20 seconds before unholstering if you don't want email to auto open.

Don't remove your BB from the holster about 20-30 seconds after you get notification of a received email.

There is not a setting to change the automatic opening of the most recent received email other than patience.
