Default Missing volume ICON

Please Login to Remove!

I just swapped my 8300 with my daughter for an 8310. I changed face plates because she wanted the new looking red and I don't care about my scuffed up silver. I wanted to remove a bunch of the stuff from the 8310 like the language files, the video, preloaded ringtones, unused themes, etc. However when I finished, I no longer have the volume icon on my home screen. I don't have anyway to change volume, ringtones, vibrations, etc. Any thoughts?

Uh, there isn't a volume icon. It's on the right side of the device. Do you mean the Profiles icon?

Yes, profiles icon, sorry. It looks like a speaker, and I can't highlight it to see what it's called.

Maybe it's hidden. Press Menu button and click Show All.

Also check to see if it got put in a folder (if you have any).

When on home screen, clik the BB button and select Shall All. The profiles icon may be hidden. If so, then select the profiles icon, press the BB button and uncheck Hide.

Thanks. I've done "show all", but still no profile icon. I'm running the zen theme, I do have folders, but it's not hiding in any of them.

Try changing the theme.

That would have been my first choice as well, except that I had deleted all the themes except zen to free up space. Anyway, I ended up re-installing ~everything~, then went back and removed the extra language stuff, PTT, unused themes, etc. and it looks like it's back to normal.

It does seem like my 8310 has slower responses than my 8300 did, I didn't expect that.

Thanks for the great suggestions.
