Default Cheapest place to get a Curve 83xx?

Please Login to Remove!

I bought my new 8310 off of eBay about 4 months ago for 200 bucks but I can't find one even close to that price now. My wife's Curve was dropped into the pool so I'm trying to replace it as cheap as possible. New/used doesn't matter so much as long as it's in good condition. Just seeing if anyone here has any site better than eBay. Thanks!

Are you eligble for an upgrade through your carrier? You can get one for $199 from AT&T and T-Mobile with a 2 year contract.

Here's a refurb from AT&T for 89.99.

Go to Newegg. You pay 50$ with 2 year contract. T-mobile will have 100 additional Rebate.

Newegg is $389 before a $100 mail-in rebate.

You can get it from Newegg for $50, but you have to start a new account. You're just looking to replace the phone with the same account, right?

Are existing customers who buy a Curve from Newegg eligible for that rebate? I downloaded the PDF file and read it but I was a bit confused.

Either way, it's still cheaper than retail. Always a plus.

I got my 8310 from Radio Shack for 49.95 that was a couple months ago. I kept me existing plan (Super Home 300) but just added the Blackberry Personal plan.

Unfortunately I'm not eligible for a carrier upgrade for a while, I upgraded just a couple months ago when I got my first Curve from T-Mo (8320, which ended up going to my wife after I got my red 8310), so I'd be purchasing this with no contract renewal discounts. :\

We didn't have phone insurance either, though I don't think it covers water damage anyway. Is it just me or has the price of Curves gone up in the past few months?

It shouldn't be. What's probably happening is that because it's not as new of a device, carriers are not pricing it as low as they did when it was first released to draw people in. However, that thought runs contrary to AT&T recently having Curves for $99 with a new line.

Keep checking eBay. I just got a replacement 8310 for my wife for $150 last week. You need to be patient and watch a lot of them before you'll find one. It took me almost a week to find the one I got for $150. It was in excellent condition and aside from having to resettofactory to get rid of an IT policy, my wife has been quite pleased with it.
