Is there a way to turn off the annoying dial tone sound that plays when you disconnect from a phone call? I looked in settings but didnt see an option for this??

I guess I would need to hear yours, I don't seem to have that. People here ask about the DTMF tones when dialing, but I've never seen it asked about a tone when hanging up.

I think it's an AT&T thing perhaps. With me, two sounds can happen when a call disconnects and it depends on whether you disconnent first or not. If you disconnect first, you get a boop sound (best way to describe it). It's a little on the loud side but generally tolerable to me. However, when the other person disconnects first I immediately get a three tone sound. It's the error sound for a failed call. And on my AT&T berry it is quite the ear piercer if you don't get to the end call button quick enough.

I never had the second tone at all with my Verizon berry.

Mine sounds like a busy signal tone and its rather loud. My girlfriend complains about it a lot on her Pearl, its not as intolerable to me, but she hates it! So no way to turn it off then?

Nope, another of my little annoyances. The tones associate with dialing/hangup cannot be disabled.

However the hangup tone is not on all devices/os, don't know why.
