Unhappy How do I delete apps on Curve that won't go away HELP!!!

Please Login to Remove!

I have just received a second (refurbished) BB Curve 8310. First one went crazy. I seem to be having similar problems again.
I have deleted two apps in the Application Loader in the DM 4.3. Made sure all stuff off PC. Then deleted apps in Options on Curve. Did hard reset. But the darn program just won't go away and still shows up in the Curve Home Screen and it works also!

Any ideas on how to get this off my Curve so it doesn't mess it up like the last one with cluttered files.
And also, what is the best way to clean off the Curve, like a task manager or cleanup program.

Since no one is replying, do I take it to mean no one has an answer... Surely some expert out there can assist me...please. HELP!!!!!

What are you trying to remove. You could do a wipe, check the faqs and look for how to wipe a device with jlcmdr. its something like that. It will totally wipe the BB.

Default How do I delete apps on Curve that won't go away HELP!!!

Not the way I want to go. Tried that on my last Curve and it didn't help. I am looking at the Service Books but I don't see the name of the apps in there to delete. I am trying to delet a small program called e-Mobile today for the BB. But this has happened to me on other programs as well. the program is still there although I have deleted it using App Loader and Options > Adv> Apps

Any other ideas?

Thanks for responding. I was beginnning if anyone was going to do so

There are some service book "virtual preloads" that you can't remove. Just hide them. If you installed something and it doesn't show up in the Application List then go one menu deeper and delete it from the list of Modules.

If they are pushed apps from your carrier, you can get rid of them, but they will keep coming back. Best bet is to just hide the icons.

I agree it's time to give up on it and just hide the icon. My concern was that is it using up memory space or something else.

Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.

Okay, go to Options>Advanced Options>Service Book

In service book you should see all of those cluttering applications. Just delete them one by one. I'm not sure if that deletes the deeper stuff in the registry but it certainly gets rid of it from your menu.

Hope that helps.

John, I'm not certain there is a registry per se. I do know that if you delete those icons through the method I've given above, they will come back if you send out a service book. So for them to be permanently deleted... I still don't know. I also bought a furbished 8330 as mentioned earlier and on it came IQC, YAHOO MSGR, AIM, GOOGLE TALK, YAHOO SEARCH and some other junk apps. And that's how I dealt with them.

They will come back. Just hide them as recommended.

JC, use the cmd prompt.

OP if its just on your home screen hit the menu key and hide them, and don't show all. Easiest. Editing a registry on a BB requires as double helix server configuration. JC knows how to do it, but he only tells people once of month.

The IM apps can be deleted in Options >Advanced Options >Applications. If they're not listed there then they are service books and will come back after you delete them.

There's no registry on a BlackBerry. We were just having a little friday night fun with you.
