I have not had this problem before but having just changed my Curve handset I get endless emails to my outlook express account which are then copied on to the BB which say

from- network@etp .....

and the body always says this message is used to carry data between the Blackberry handheld and an associated server etc.

probbaly 20 a day, never had them with previous handsets.


2nd problem on changeover I can't configure my account at email.com onto the bb.

ok apologies I have now found a faq

Step 1: You have installed Desktop Manager using the 'Desktop Redirector' option.

If you're not using Redirector, you should uninstall Desktop Manager and then reinstall it using the BlackBerry Internet Service option.

Step 2: On your device, go to: Options > Advanced > Service Book, and delete all service books for [Desktop]

I have done 2 but remind me on 1 before I uninstall Desktop Manager was that instaleld with a disc? what dioes using the Blackberry Internet Servie Option actually mean?

it means that you are not connected to a corporate BES, and using the BlackBerry Internet Service rather that a BlackBerry Enterprise Server to get your email (on the device). You simply selected the wrong option when installing.

just use the same CD that you used before, but select the correct option when it asks.
