im having some issues with transferring files from a nokia phone to my bb curve. Ive read other threads and followed the instructions but clearly its not working out.
First i paired up both the devices, then on the blackberry i enabled "recieve using bluetooth mode" and on the nokia i was trying to send a video to the bb and it said no device found...i dont understand, are they incompatible with each other? and im positively sure that their paired, because on the bb the bluetooth icon on homescreen appears to have 2arrows pointed on the opposite directions which states that its paired up..however, i have doubts that the bb is recognizing the other device as another phone but instead i think it recognizes it as a bluetooth remote control..any help is appreciated..

You don't need to pair them before transferring a file.

On the Blackberry go to the folder you want to receive the file into and select Receive Using Bluetooth.

Then go to the file you want to move over on the Nokia and select the Send Using Bluetooth option. You should be presented with an option to search for a device to send to and here is where you'd want to find the Blackberry. Find and enter the PIN code and when the file begins to send you should be prompted on the Blackberry to receive the file.

Thanks for that, should this be added to the bluetooth section in the FAQ, I followed the FAQ but couldn't transfer a ringtone via bluetooth from PC to my 7130g (ok by cable), this worked a treat.

I tried doing exactly that..
First on my bb device i went to the music in the media and activated " recieve using bluetooth"
Secondly, on the nokia n72 i went to the music file, and clicked on send via bluetooth, next it started searching for a bluetooth enabled device and finally it said" no bluetooth device found"

I have tried on two different nokia phones and gt the same response..

just for the info..i had this same issue on both the 4.2 and 4.5 os..and my bb bluetooth hardware is working coz it apparantly manages to pair up with any device and only faces a problem when trying to transfer files...

wooohooo i got it i got it..lool..i feel so stupid..on the bb undr bluetooth setting, all i had to do was make the device visible..thanks alot for the part you played in helping...cheers
