Default BB Messenger New Message Notifier Won't Go Away

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All

So the smiley-face new message notifier won't go away even after I've read all messages, etc. Seems to just get stuck sometimes and I have to reboot. Anyone else have this issues? Any easy fix?

It's a known issue... and you've discovered the easy fix already.
Take the battery out and put it back in.

Is that really a fix? It doesn't fix the problem, it just removies the notification until it happens again.

Sometimes the notifier gets stuck, I've found 2 ways to fix it, you can scroll up and hit "R" for new reply which will mark the message as read or you can go to the message list, highlight the top date and hit mark all as read, which should work. If it doesn't then it is seriously stuck and then he's right, BATTERY PULL lol
