Question Car Charger 8330

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,

I was wondering what type of car charge everyone is using? I have the wall charger the phone came with, but am in need of a car charger for long trips.

I don't see a dedicated Verizon car charger, only universal. What is the difference and can I get a dedicated BB charger?

What is good around the internet?

Thanks!

I have the OEM duel auto/wall charger, I think it is called the "double-talk" unit. Several vendors carry them. Great units for traveling since you have both auto and wall charger.

You'll pay between $20-29.

If you have an older device w/car charger, the same car charger might work. When I bought the 8330, the guys in the Verizon store told me my 8703e car charger would work with it.

Since all Blackberry phones use a USB connector, it doesn't matter. The power specs are identical and there is nothing to worry about. I have been using a car charger from my old RAZR for years. I also have a cigarette lighter plug (from my iPod) that has the 'A' USB connector on the back... in a jam I have used it with a standard USB to mini cable to power my phone.

Any USB car charger will work. In the work truck, we have two Nextel branded rugged USB chargers we got from the sprint store.
I personally use the new motorola USB one with the little frosted etched window with the blue glowing logo, just because i needed a USB charger, and this was the only name brand one Best Buy had.

Its been thru like 5 phones already... lol

that's the great thing about universal connections, nothing proprietary and you can use what is available. i use the verizon branded car charge and home charger.
