Cool New to BB - Painting a BB a different color - Questions

Please Login to Remove!

OK, I'm new at the BB thing and I was wondering if all the cases from the 8300 series are the same.. I.E. Swap out interchangably? I HATE the verizon silver/black one and I'm going to paint mine.

I have an 8330 Curve.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Well they say the CDMA 83xx are slightly different than the GSM 83xx but someone on here bought a GSM faceplate and was able to use it

Gotta make sure you use a few layers of paint if you do...there are tons of places online that show how people have painted their phones

Painting DIY - BlackBerryFAQ

The other are usable, but the GSM models are slightly thinker so someone reported it felt like you have to really press down on the 4 bottons near the trackball. Worked though

Cool! Thanks.

I have painted cases before, but I just was wondering if they were the same case before I ordered an extra.

I'm at work right now so some of the sites are blocked. I also wanted to know how hard they are to take apart?

Not at all, you will need a T-5 and T-6 driver, and here is a disassembly guide I made.
