Default Blackberry 8310 - BIS email set up in Vodafone from AT & T

Please Login to Remove!

hello, i just purchased a Blackberry 8310 AT&T UK -unlocked- & i made a contract for BIS with Vodafone here in my city (Athens Greece) . The service was activated after 24 hours & received a relative SMS about this on my device. Also all other settings (as web surfing , mms etc were working...) I opened for 1st time the BB 8310 device for it's SET UP. At Email set up it had ONLY two (2) OPTIONS : 1st) Set up BES (enterpise email) or 2nd) Skip email set uo .....
It DID NOT have the other option ''Set up of email account'' (for my personal emails...)

What should i do ? I tried at Vodafone's web Email set up :

i entered the IMEI & PIN of my device mentioned on the phone's box but it wrote a warning : '' This device is registered in another service provider. Please re register & login in other provider's web site.''

What should i do ??? Send me email with your proposal ....

Hi tigerdaytona,

IŽd give Vodafone techs a call to check whether an (autologin-)user is active, and to register a BIS-Username for you via their admin-interface.

If none is active, or they receive error messages while registering a Username for you, contact AT&T tech support to confirm that the BB is really unlocked and can be used with any carrier, no service active on the BB PIN, etc., depending on how AT&T exactly handles BIS-Provisioning (SIM, PIN, whatever).

I assume this was a used BB? Here is a FAQ article on buying a used BB. Even if you didn't get it from eBay, it has good info >>> Buying a BlackBerry off eBay - BlackBerryFAQ

it was a brand new BB. I think that the ''problem'' has somehow been solved by itself. It receives messages now
