Because it wasn't something RIM was working on when the devices were released? Keep in mind that Blackberry's started off primarily as business oriented devices. Most businesses that might deploy Blackberry devices tend to have rules and such on cameras/video recorders in the work-place.

Where I work you need a special pass in order to bring a camera into most places. Only recently (the last year or so) were cell phones exempted since they all have cameras now.

Razors didn't have video capture for several years after they came out, and it also depended on the carrier. Took an OS install (which was way more difficult than a BB) to get it.

Maybe the same reason the RAZR didn't come with video capture when it was released?

In responding to a two (almost three month old thread) you woke it up for no reason.

The Verizon devices came with OS 4.3, which had video. Yours came with an earlier version. Upgrade to 4.5 and you have video. Case is closed.
